Sarah's
"Birds in Gilded Cages" are a
design she hand-painted on plates years ago for Tiffany's.
Always among her favorites, she has reintroduced them
in this set of six, beautifully hand-painted in China.
The "Quadrille"
plate was an inspired adaptation from a
medallion in one of her popular rug designs of the
same name. It exemplifies Sarah's favorite approach
to design, stylizing and flattening art until it becomes
a design element.
