It’s
midnight on Christmas. The holy hour when,
as the old tale goes, all the animals bow
low in honor of the holy child. In Sarah’s
joyful interpretation, there are forty
different birds and beasts, along with
Father Christmas, sleighs, toys, bells,
stockings, wreaths and candlelit trees
all under a flurry of snowflakes, moonbeams,
and twinkling stars.
Midnight
Clear is a tour de force: the magic of
Christmas captured in an intricate orchestration
of color and visual detail. This very special
rug was conceived as a limited edition,
and exquisitely hand crafted in velvety
fine wool. The result is a uniquely intriguing
work of art. Three pieces were produced
in wool, and only one of those is being
offered here for sale. The other two are
artists proofs, and part of private collections.
